New Zealand au pair Laura T. taught a group of 6-9 year old NYC elementary students how to count to 10 in Maori. Laura, from Jodie DeCrescenzo’s cluster, commented that in preparing for her presentation to the Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School students, she learned a lot about her native New Zealand. After doing the presentation she said “I had such a great time! It was more fun that I imagined! I was nervous before I started but once I got going the children were very nice and made the experience a fun one! I would highly recommend doing this.”
