Backpacking in Canada

Backpacking in Canada

Hi there,

I love the quote “if traveling were free, you would never see me again.” I would say I’m a wanderlust person.

This summer I went backpacking by myself, to Canada-Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec. It was amazing!  I have learned so many incredible things such as culture, history and language. I first thought that Canada was similar to America because they are neighbors. Contrastingly, I would say Canada and Canadians are quite different from America especially in Montreal and Quebec. They’ve been influenced by French because those people moved to these areas first. Therefore, you would hear French everywhere. It’s like you are in France. Actually, Montreal is the second largest primarily French-speaking city in the world.

To begin with, I started my trip in Toronto and visited Niagara Falls. Some people say Niagara Falls in Canadian side is much more beautiful than the State side and I totally agree with that. Then I headed to Ottawa the capital city of Canada. After that, I went to Montreal and Quebec where the weather was incredibly nice. Obviously, visiting Canada during summer is the best plan!! Canadian people are very friendly, kind, and polite. I was pretty lucky to meet those nice people everywhere I visited.

If you extend your stay, you can definitely go to Canada but don’t forget your VISA in case you are required. I bet you will get the memorable experiences in this country.

Love,

Piyarat Boonura from Thailand.
