Thanksgiving is a typical North American holiday which most au pairs are not familiar with.  Several community counselors chose to have Thanksgiving Day-themed cluster meetings this year.  There are so many ways Thanksgiving can be celebrated, below are several snap shots.

Jennifer Stein’s Houston Cluster was welcomed by a host family.  Everyone was treated to hot chocolate, apple cider and 3 types of pie, apple, pumpkin, and pecan.

Heike Kriszun’s Massachusetts cluster had an international pot luck dinner.  Heike provided the turkey and each au pair brought a dish from their country.  They took the opportunity to talk about different traditions.  When it started snowing the community counselor seized the opportunity to talk about driving in the snow.

Terri Sweeney’s Rhode Island cluster had a traditional Thanksgiving meal and created hand stamped thank you cards for their host parents.
