We recently heard from two au pairs who wanted to share the celebration of Easter in their countries with us.
Mayra, an au pair in Pearl River, NY told us that in Brazil,Easter is celebrated differently from family-to-family, but that everywhere the holiday centers around the church, family and chocolate!
Annika, an au pair in Westport, CT, told us that in Germany, a few weeks before Easter Sunday, you can visit an Easter Market, called Ostermarkt in many towns. Here you’ll see decorated Easter eggs, chocolate Easter- themed items, spring ornaments and more Easter crafts for sale.
