Community Counselors have identified these two au pairs as the Au Pair in America Explorers for March.

Giovanna R. from Brazil in Dominique Ortiz’s Virginia cluster.

Giovana joined Dominique’s cluster in November. She has been a wonderful addition to her host family and has already accomplish a lot in the 4 months that she has been here. Despite a busy schedule, she was able to take time to find a class, she reaches out to new arrivals and offers to help them. She has traveled to different states, volunteered with a group of Girl Scouts to prepare them for their World Thinking Day and did a Global Awareness presentation for them as well. She seems to always find the time to help others while also being there for her host family.

Kaytlin C. from Panama in Amber French’s Connecticut cluster.

Kaytlin is currently attending Fairfield University and has fully immersed herself into the Au Pair in America program. She has visited Washington, DC and New York City and looks forward to planning future travels. Kaytlin has become a member of her host family’s church where she is part of the welcome team as an usher, and volunteers once a month for Breakthrough Church’s food pantry. For International Women’s Day she shared what an au pair is and how lovely her experience has been during her time in the US at an all female gathering for the church. Kaytlin is an active participant in our cluster meetings and an absolute pleasure!
