In May, Israeli Au Pair, Ophir K. in Lori Henry’s Pennsylvania cluster, presented about Israel to the Jewish Sunday School in West Chester. There were 20 kids of the ages of 11 and 12.Ophir showed the class where Israel is on the map and then spent most of the time talking about the important cities of Israel: Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, her home town of Rishon Le-Zion, Dimona and their history and significance. Ophir also shared about the Dead Sea and Masada. Lastly she spoke about the Israeli army and how every man and woman has to serve in the army for 2 years and how that is different than here in the US. Ophir commented that “I talked about my experience and the kids showed a lot of interest and asked a lot of questions about everything.”
