Elections and the way we vote is different throughout many countries in the world. The Chicago-based Au Pair in America au pairs had the opportunity to experience first hand what it’s like to vote in the US. From needing IDs, to long polling lines, and even being able to write in candidates (the Chicago Cubs had the lead in write-ins), these au pairs truly gained an insight into one of our fundamental rights as an American: The Right to Vote!
