My name is Jimena Vargas and I arrived to America on June 16th. This summer my host family and I we went to Mackinac Island on north Michigan.
I drive by myself for the very first time in my life one carriage going around the island. We also get into a little ship and we’re navigating on Lake Michigan.
We were part of a fire demonstration like the soldier did it on 1670, it was very exciting!!
This island is very unique because there’s no cars allowed! Everyone is moving by walking, riding bikes or carriage, so it was very nice not to see stop lights or any traffic signal.
We had an amazing time over there, and I feel so happy for knowing this beautiful island thanks to my host family!
