March 8 is International Women’s Day, a day that honors the work of our earliest suffragettes and celebrates women’s achievements of the past century
My grandmother was a suffragette, and carried a banner high as she marched for equal rights for women. I’m so proud of her! An immigrant, who came to this country, from Russia, without English and without familiar customs, but ready to make a new life for herself and speak out for the rights of all women. She marched for better working conditions in factories and for the vote!
We have the opportunity to speak with Au Pair in America au pairs, young women from around the world to learn about the advancement of women in their cultures
Please take a moment, whether an au pair, a counselor, or a host family, to tell us how women improved their lives in your country.
