Olena Petelko’s flag: Ukraine
Olena Petelko used needle work to depict her country’s flag.
“Ukraine is a country with a rich history and old traditions. Ukrainians are known for their hospitality. One of the traditions is to meet dear guests with bread and salt on an embroidery towel. Ukraine is a country of arts and crafts. National embroidery has long roots so that is why I decided to present my flag trhough embroidery. It is one of my hobbies.”
